I decided I need an electronic ID. Can I get one? Sure, it doesn't cost anything, except…I have to run Windows, and I have to run Internet Exploder.

Kick in a window!?
It's, like, use Java and STFU. I tried getting a BankID and apparently it's Java-based but only supported on Windows and, possibly, OS X.
Tying governmental e-services (like when you do your taxes online) to something that's not cross-platform should be illegal.
