I suspect my fan burnout last year may have been triggered by too intense computation, so I've cut down on the production rate.

Ah. When you said "fan burnout", you actually meant 'burnout of air circulation devices'. Which is how I first understood it, but within half a second miscorrected my reading to 'having had one's fill and then some of participation in fandom'.
Oh, the joys of whatever...
